This book is about a very beautiful, young, movie Starlet Sylvia Foxworth. The time span is the late thirties through the fifties. Like many actors of that period, she knew the real secret to success was the casting couch. Sylvia would use any means necessary to be picked up by a movie studio. After her discovery, the studio made every effort to make her a star, but she was her own worst enemy. Because of her attitude, she made many enemies. Suddenly, her life was filled with intrigue, murder, mystery, and suspense.
I was also sure, even with all of the misery and death, which had taken place at Hillcrest Haven, I would soon miss its majestic beauty. I think it was either late April, or early May, when Detective John Wedgeman returned to Hillcrest.
